What Is ADAS

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) are intelligent safety technologies designed to assist drivers and reduce accidents. These systems rely on a network of cameras, radar sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and control modules that constantly monitor the road environment.

Common ADAS features include:

  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA)

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

  • Forward Collision Warning

  • Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

  • Blind Spot Monitoring

  • Traffic Sign Recognition

  • Driver Attention Monitoring

  • Parking Assist Systems

  • 360° Camera Systems

When any of these components are disturbed, replaced, or removed, calibration is required to ensure the sensors are aligned correctly with the vehicle’s geometry and the road ahead.
